Co-Owner & Trainer
Ryan Parzick is the Co-Owner of Fuerte Fitness and the day-to-day operator of the business. Ryan is a life-long athlete, a 4-year varsity college football player, and a dad to two sporty kids. Ryan is passionate about overall wellness, including the benefits of a nutritious diet and well-rounded exercise routine. He is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He holds a Civil Engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a Masters in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ryan's zeal for a healthy lifestyle prompted he and his wife to start Fuerte Fitness in order to help others on their journey to wellness.
Romy Parzick is the Founder & Co-Owner of Fuerte Fitness. As a life-long athlete and 4-year collegiate soccer player, one of her primary passions is community-building through sports and group fitness. She is a high-energy instructor who loves to support people of all fitness levels. She is certified in Barre, Piloxing Barre, and Zumba. She works full-time in downtown Austin as a financial services executive, where in 2017 she was named a finalist by Austin's Under Forty in the Financial and Insurance Services group.
Adrien was born and raised in the south of France. After spending the entirety of his first 20 years of life in France, he decided to save his money, and use it to travel the world. It was his passion to learn/see different cultures, beliefs, and lifestyles. At the beginning of his early twenties, he gradually became fascinated in health and fitness. Very quickly, he realized that he wanted to pursue a life helping others take control of their health
After travelling through parts of Europe and Asia, he decided to settle in Australia. There, he enrolled in a personal training course at Endeaver (F.I.A. Fitnation) College of Natural Health in Sydney. After he earned his certificate in fitness and group training, Adrien and his wife then decided to journey back to her home state of Texas. Here, Adrien studied and received his NASM certificate in personal training and fitness.
His training style is based off of using body weight, with the occasional heavy lifting. His goal with these types of workouts is to allow room for creativity, flexibility, & less injuries that will maintain a lean and healthy physique. While leading these functional exercises, his focus is on balance, a strong core, and correct posture. Sounds like a Fuerte match!
Ann Marie is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a Cooper Institute-Certified Personal Trainer and Cooper TrainedTM in Boot Camp and Circuits Leadership. She is also certified in TRX Suspension Training, Dynamax, and Trigger Point Performance Therapy. Her love of yoga led her to become a Certified Yoga Teacher through Black Swan's 200 hour RYT training. An accomplished marathon runner, completed the Boston Marathon and many others, Ann Marie believes that through cross training, consistency, proper guidance, and an open heart and mind, you can achieve your fitness goals! She is passionate about empowering her clients with the right tools so they can reap the benefits of a happy, healthy and active lifestyle. She and her weimaraner, Brody, can be found running around and enjoying Austin's beautiful outdoors.
Brittany Valera was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in 2007 and struggled to live an active life. Brittany has always been passionate about ballet, and she missed dancing. After recovering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, she found Piloxing and fell in love with the full body, dance-inspired workout. Piloxing played an integral role in the road to her recovery. It was then that Brittany decided to share Piloxing with others through teaching. She's been a certified Piloxing Instructor since March 2014, and has earned the prestigious Elite Instructor title for both Piloxing and Piloxing Barre!
Carrie holds a degree in exercise science/ sports management with a minor in business from the University of Kansas. She is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer with 12 plus years of coaching, managing, and consulting for gyms and studios. She approaches every workout with the goal of her clients achieving life-long fitness and reaching goals that can be maintained for the rest of their lives. Her specialties include bootcamps, cardio agility, aqua, and functional fitness classes.
On a personal note, Carrie grew up in New Jersey playing soccer, running track, and competing in gymnastics. At the University of Kansas she was Coach/Vice President and Captain of her college club soccer team. She makes an active choice to make workouts part of her daily routine to ensure she can do everyday activities like hiking and biking with friends and family. Her goal is to stay healthy for herself and her loved ones.
Chelsey is a mix of cultures and lifestyles - born in Japan, raised in Mexico, French mother and Californian father. Growing up she was always high energy, playing outside, climbing trees, and breaking about every bone in her body to her parent's dismay. When she moved to Austin, Chelsey fell in love with the fitness world. She started kickboxing, running, weight training and took just about any other class she could take. When she started seeing all the changes in herself, she became determined to share her joy with others and became a Certified Personal and Group Trainer.
Chelsey's two favorite parts of training:
1) Innovation: She believes one of the main reason people quit fitness is because they get bored. Chelsey's workouts are fun, creative, and challenging ... all while working the entire body.
2) Competition: Being the 2nd youngest of 11 siblings, she loves a little competition. Chelsey believes one should always push his/herself to be better, stronger, and faster than they were yesterday.
Fedora Galasso believes in the power of yoga to help us feel better in our bodies and minds. She holds dual master degrees in Public Policy and Social Work and currently works on expanding mental health services for underserved individuals across the state. Initially drawn to yoga for its physical benefits, her research on the benefits of yoga for emotional and physical healing and own desire to deepen her practice led Fedora to take the leap to attend the Forrest Yoga Teacher Training. She continues to study Forrest Yoga with Ana Forrest and Yin Yoga with Heather Tiddens. She is excited to share all she has learned with you!
Kevyn McAnlis's interest in movement and anatomy began at a young age (with, like most people, various team sports) and has continued to develop and change ever since. She fell in love with yoga during college prompting her to receive her RYT from Corepower Yoga and subsequently became Yoga Tune Up® certified. As her education and understanding of anatomy and biomechanics has grown, she's found a love for helping people incorporate movement into their daily lives to maintain strength, muscle elasticity and stay pain-free. Her classes and teaching are a mixture of yoga asana, natural movement, corrective exercise, and mobility; helping her students learn to stay happy and healthy for life.
Taylor is a Certified Group Fitness Instructor through the Athletics and Fitness Association of America. Taylor was raised as an athlete. She excelled at many sports before focusing her talents on tennis and became nationally ranked in the sport. Her tennis training consisted of daily group training, followed by individual training with her coach, and strength and conditioning sessions with a trainer. This is where her passion and knowledge of training began. Taylor holds a Bachelor's Degree in Print Journalism, English & Creative Writing from the University of Miami. After graduating, Taylor began working for a small fitness studio in Houston teaching circuit training classes. After moving to Austin in 2013, Taylor managed an upscale fitness club and continued to teach HIIT and strength and conditioning classes part-time. Later she decided to pursue group fitness and training full-time and began teaching across Austin while expanding her training to include indoor cycling. You may hear her say "quality over quantity;" a motto she applies to not just fitness, but life in general.
